Anthony Eftimeo is an experienced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion specialist with over a decade of experience. Their educational background is in psychology with a specialty in LGBTQ affairs. They started their career working in Higher Education at Arizona State University (ASU) where they worked with faculty, students and campus police on policies and creating a more accepting and welcoming environment for students. Anthony created ASU’s first ever LGBTQ Support Group in partnership with Counseling Services. Following their work at ASU, Anthony worked with the organization NotMyKid as a prevention specialist and provided resources for school districts, police, and mental health agencies regarding substance abuse, bullying prevention and suicide prevention.
Most recently, they worked with the Anti-Defamation League in Los Angeles as an Education Director providing anti-bias education programs for multiple agencies in the Los Angeles area as well as other areas in Southern California. They have presented at numerous conferences regionally and internationally on managing bias. They have also served as a task force member on the FBI’s Los Angeles Branch for their LGBTQ Summit. Their extensive background in social and emotional learning, and restorative justice has allowed them to provide numerous managing bias trainings throughout the country.
Anthony has their bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
